Fallen Angel

Cusco Nightlife is not only limited to Discos and Pubs, but there is also a bar you must not miss when you visit the Inca city. Located behind the Plaza de Armas in front of the Monasterio hotel. It is a place called Fallen Angel.

To describe this place as unusual is not doing the bar justice. Fallen Angel has some of the best parties in Peru and if you are lucky enough to get a ticket, you will have the night of your life. It also has a small boutique hotel attached and the décor has to be seen to be believed.

Some tips for a safe Cusco nightlife

1. Do not carry a lot of cash

Try not to carry a lot of money with you, because you will catch the attention of the pickpockets. Exchanging the required money on soles to cover your additional expenses is a plus.

2. Take an official taxi

After having fun is possible to get drunk. For that reason, it’s much safer to take an official taxi. It is easy to distinguish it. For example, some of them have stickers in front of the car that says “Taxi Seguro” in Spanish, which in English means “Safe Taxi”. Also, the letters are inside of a yellow and black circle. Also, inside of the car, you will see the driver ID with his or her picture, and the carriage number of the car in the sideways of the doors.

3. Bring a warm jacket with you

Sadly, catching the flu when you hang out in Cusco is too easy. For that reason, we recommend bringing always a jacket. Moreover, the weather at night is too cold and sometimes in the early mornings too. The weather lows around 45°F or 7º C. Some travelers wonder why it happens. The cold climate is due to the icy winds that come from the snowy mountains of Salkantay and Ausangate.

4. Bring with you a copy of your passport

It is recommendable to leave your Passport or your ID in your hotel room. But, for obvious reasons, you have to carry an ID. That’s why you should make a copy of it and you will avoid losing it.

Don’t forget the hotels

If you are looking for luxury hotels in Cusco you will not be disappointed. The city features some of the best hotels in Peru. Try the Belmond Hotels for a true luxury experience, even featuring oxygen that is pumped into the room if you are feeling a little light-headed.

Stay at the Aranwa in Cusco, a beautiful hotel housed in a Spanish Colonial house. The hotel has been completely refurbished and features one of the best art collections in Cusco. There is a beautiful patio where you can eat your breakfast and a great restaurant for dinner.
