World Travel Awards: Peru’s Leading Travel Agency 2018

CuscoPeru Travel were nominated for Best Peruvian Travel Agency at this year’s World Travel Awards. Among the nominees were some of the most respected travel agents here in Peru. We felt extremely honored to be included in the nominations. Being a relatively new company the team have worked hard to give our customers all the luxury they ask for and expect on their Peruvian tours.

Our wonderful and kind passengers took the time to vote for us and we were awarded Peru’s Best Travel Agency, something we are very excited about.

This year was the 25^th Anniversary of the World Travel Awards considered to be the Oscars of the travel industry and the glittering ceremony was held in Guayaquil Ecuador. The night was spectacular with many important people from the travel industry attending. Held on the shores of the Guaya River at the wonderful Crystal Palace the evening was warm and balmy, with some amazing food and wine was enjoyed by all the guests.

Guayaquil has undergone in recent years a transformation and has reemerged as one of Ecuador’s premier tourist destinations and also the starting point for most journeys to the fabulous Galapagos Islands. Guayaquil is Ecuador’s main port with a large terminal, which services both the river and the sea. When visiting Guayaquil make sure to visit Las Peña’s, an area of the city that at night comes alive with bars and restaurants, a great place to spend some time.

The team at CuscoPeru Travel traveled to Guayaquil to attend the ceremony and were honored to be among some of the most important people in the Latin American travel industry. Awards were given to Hotels, Airlines and destinations some of which included, CostaMar as the best tour operator in South America, Tucan Travel as the best green tour operator, Delta Airlines as South America’s best airline. Ecuador did very well winning many categories making them one of South America’s best destinations.

Of course, our wonderful Peru won some important awards and the magnificent Machu Picchu was named as South America’s top tourist destination. We were proud to be there for Peru to receive these awards.
